You are eligible for Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) if...
• You worked 5 out of the last 10 years, paid into Social Security and become disabled
• You are a young adult with a limited work history, and have paid into Social Security and become disabled
• You are on worker’s comp, short or long term disability and have paid into Social Security
• You are a widow or widower, (between the ages of 50 to 60), disabled within 7 years of your spouses’ death, and eligible on the record of your spouse
• A child under 18 with disabilities, whose parents qualify under Social Security Disability, Social Security Retirement or whose parents are deceased.
You are eligible for Supplemental Security Income (SSI) if...
• You are under 65, with a limited work history, disabled and qualify within low income and limited asset guidelines.
• You are under 65, with a limited work history, legally blind and qualify within low income and limited asset guidelines.
• A child under 18 with disabilities, whose parents qualify within low income and limited asset guidelines
• You are a young adult, 18 or over, disabled, with low income and limited assets
• A premature newborn confined to the hospital |
